Chef Caterina Di Luccia grew up cooking in her family’s seaside hotel kitchen just outside of Positano on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. 

 In 1985, Chef moved to San Diego working her way from sous chef to executive chef at Prego and then at the request of the owners, moved to their larger restaurant, Tuttimare. In 1997, Chef, along with her siblings opened up their first restaurant, Trattoria Positano in Cardiff-By-The-Sea, followed by a second restaurant of the same name in 1999 in Hillcrest, CA.

In 2015, Chef Caterina made the decision to retain partnership in the restaurant operation and devote herself full time to specialty catering for events large and small and custom dishes and desserts.

Chef Caterina can create delicious appetizers, entrees, soups and desserts for those requesting Vegetarian • Gluten Free • Low Sugar • Low Salt • Low Fat. (Please note that neither the kitchen nor any equipment is Kosher.)

Chef Caterina's husband, Michael Riggio has been a consultant in the wine and spirits sector for over 30 years and provides a curated menu of wines, cocktails and/or digestivi to complement your next lunch, dinner, event or celebration.
